Biography

Bob Wahl joined McIntyre in 2012. He focuses his practice in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, representing Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 trustees and creditors’ committees, as well as individual creditors and landlords. Bob is dedicated to guiding each client through even the most serious economic challenges by protecting their potential for recovery and therefore serving their best interests.

Bob’s hands-on experience in major U.S. bankruptcy courts is supported by his ability to provide financial efficiencies and value in the face of diminishing returns. Over many years of practice, Bob’s know-how and proven skill in insolvency matters of all sizes have benefited his creditor clients. Notably, Bob is a past board member of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Association.

Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Bob attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio receiving a bachelor’s degree in geology in 1980. He earned his law degree, graduating Cum Laude, in 1983 from Stetson College of Law. Following law school, Bob had the opportunity to clerk for the Honorable Alexander L. Paskay. After completing his judicial clerkship, Bob became a member and then shareholder with the St. Petersburg firm of Blasingame Forizs & Smiljanich, P.A. and subsequently with the firm of Forizs & Dogali, P.A. based in Tampa, Florida. During his tenure with the Blasingame and Dogali firms, Bob practiced in the areas of bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, commercial litigation, and environmental insurance coverage.
